Organic bamboo is currently uncertificated which means anyone can stick an organic label on a piece of bamboo clothing and get away with it whether or not it really is organic. This has led to some confusion between what really is organic bamboo clothing. Bamboo clothing is a relatively new material and there has been some scandal with which companies have declared their bamboo clothing organic but the means really are not that organic at all. There are two methods for bamboo clothing production; mechanical and chemical. At the moment either of these methods can be deemed organic at will because there is no certification and therefore no rules to stipulate what constitutes organic bamboo clothing.
